Between January and August 2011, Finnish industry has gotten 19 per cent more orders compared to last year which in turn has affected the production positively by 2,4 per cent.
According to Statistics Finland, the number of orders has kept on growing in August as well, by 13 per cent in the Finnish industries, when compared to the same time last year. Metal industry gained the largest growth of orders; 25 per cent in August. Chemical industry reported the largest production growth during the same time period. (Source: Kauppalehti, 10.10.2011)
