Finavia starts an investment program for Finland’s airport network, aiming to develop functionality and maintenance during 2014. All together the investment will be about € 35 million which includes complete renovations and enlargements of terminals, improving customer services, renewing runways and taxiways, concrete parking for airplanes, fixing transport areas and reducing the environmental side effects of ice removals.

The work will be concentrated on airports in Turku, Tampere, Kuopio, Rovaniemi, Kittilä and Ivalo, as the previous investment projects in Oulu and Vaasa are coming to an end. Finavia is the former Finnish Civil Aviation Administration, responsible for maintaining and developing Finland’s 25 airports and the air navigation system.
