Investments In Dairy And Forestry Industries

Dairy product manufacturer Valio will double their quark production by adding a new production line to its Seinäjoki plant. The € 36 million investment includes the production line, new storage space and a cleaning centre.Valio invests because of growing demand for quark products and lactose free Greek yoghurt. According to the company, there has been a significant rise in the demand for high protein products throughout the 21st century in Finland.

UPM Kymi plant in Kuusankoski is expecting € 150 million investments. The plant will receive a new pulp drying machine and expand their barking operations. UPM has previously mentioned plans to increase pulp production. (Source: yle.fi, 4.2.2014)
