There were 59 new wind power plants, with a capacity of 184 MW, built in Finland during 2014. Now there are a total 260 wind power plants with a combined capacity of 627 MW. Out of all electricity consumption wind power covered 1.3 % in 2014.
300 MW of new wind power capacity is expected to be built during 2015. It is estimated that wind power building and wind power industry will employ 10 000 Finns by 2020. (Source: www.tekniikkatalous.fi, 22.1.2015)
