Finnish Metal Industry Keeps On Investing

Finnish metal industry has made over 30 % more investments than before the economic downturn. Total amount of investments went over € 550 million in 2012. Metal industry’s share of exports has remained on record levels despite heavy price competition. Production has been stable for the first half of 2013.

In 2012, metal industry covered 12 % of Finnish exports. The sector remains one of the biggest net export businesses in Finland with a value of € 4.2 billion. Metal industry had a turnover of € 9.4 billion in 2012. (Source: www.tekniikkatalous.fi, 15.7.2013)
