Finnish agriculture companies' investments grew 70 % in 2013 when compared to 2012. A lot of new cattle-, and dairy buildings as well as greenhouses have been built with annual investments worth € 330 million.
The increase in investments can be partially seen in an ending EU program term, as the farmers want to ensure grants for their projects. The amount of applications was so large that another round will be made in the beginning of 2014. Therefore, agriculture investments can be forecasted to continue during this year too.
